How did I get here?

The quote, “It takes 30 years to make an overnight success” feels true for me. Each step I have taken in life felt like a stepping stone to the next. Check out my steps as each of them made me who I am today.

Personal Trainer

Right out of college, I became a personal trainer. I loved working with the body and went on to integrate this work into my psychotherapy practice years later as a Somatic Psychologist.

Early Nineties

Massage Therapist

After mastering the body, I went on to study and then teach massage therapy. This was a time in my life where I was introduced to the art of touch. I also learned a tremendous amount about boundaries, intimacy and emotional expressions.

Late Nineties.

Bodyworker

To me, massage therapy has to do with working on the superficial layers of the body, addressing the needs of the client. However, after earning 7,500 I began to develop my own intuitive bodywork that including helping people release their emotions through their body which is called, “Emotional Release Therapy”

Late Nineties

Somatic Psychologist

Now that I had years of experience in bodywork, I wanted to Master the Mind. I spent the next 3 years getting my Masters in Psychology with an emphasis in Somatics (Body Oriented) Psychology.

I worked at multiple hospitals providing pain relief using Guided Imagery and healing modalities like massage, Reiki and Medical Hypnotherapy.

Early + Late 2000’s

CEO: Corporate Wellness Program & Chair Massage Services

At the beginning of the Dot Com Boom, I drove down to Silicon Valley everyday to Massage Stressed Out Clients. My first client was Google. They only had 11 employees. I went on to have 7 therapists and was contracted with over 30 companies in Tech. They loved it!

Late Nineties, Early 2000’s

Sex Therapist + Corportate Consultant

I began my private practice seeing stressed out executives in Silicon Valley. I helped them learn work/life balance, how to meet deadlines calmly, and taught mindfulness during the Dot Com Boom- where employees were sleeping on the floor heading startups and due to the intense stress became physically and psychologically ill. It was then that I was hired at several companies (again) to provide stress relief at their place of work

Mid-Late 2000’s-now.
