If you can’t get out of your HEAD and have trouble CONNECTING to your MIND and BODY, you’ve come to the right place!

Learn to Connect!

Welcome to Somatic (Body-Oriented) Therapy!

I help people get out of their heads and into their bodies so they can FEEL.

“The quickest way to heal trauma and PTSD is to bypass the cognitive mind and go directly to the body. The body holds memories and feelings that can not only be accessed by talk therapy alone. It takes more than your mind to really let go. You have to use your body to recover and heal. That is where Alison Leigh is an expert! “

-John Edwards, Body Trauma Recovery Institute

Hi. I’m Alison!

I’m a Clinical Psychologist, Somatic Sex Therapist, and Executive Coach. I’ve been helping individuals and couples achieve profound personal and professional success for over 25 years in both my private practice as well as in their workplace as an Executive Coach.

My approach is holistic and integrative which means YOU are at the center of my attention instead of your symptoms. My practice is body-based and utilizes principles from Buddhism such as Mindfulness to help you feel grounded, safe and free to express yourself. To add value to your experience, I also bring a 15 years of success in the Healing Arts as a Bodyworker, Energy Healer and as a Medical Intuitive.

One of my passions includes educating the public. I’m a communication expert and a sexual health advocate for companies as well as their employees. I’ve teamed with Human Resources to create stigma free, inclusive and safe environments to express emotions and teach empathy. I’ve trained thousands of staff members on how to use Emotional Intelligence, mindfulness, and empathy to find more joy and pleasure in their jobs and career aspirations.

My Advice

When you are looking for a Sex Therapist, keep these things in mind

When you search for a therapist, make sure you find someone licensed and has at least 5-10 years of experience. Sex Therapy as a stand alone industry is not regulated. Unfortunately, if you take a weekend workshop or buy a course online, anyone can call themselves a Sex Therapist or Sex Coach.

This is a problem and I’ll tell you why.

Many people that seek out help might have a sexual trauma background.

For this reason alone, you will want to find someone who is both licensed and has years of experience helping people. If you go to someone who is inexperienced or just doesn’t have the training, it is possible to get triggered and potentially get re-traumatized. I’m just saying this because this particular issue can be extremely sensitive and you will want to be with someone who knows what they are doing.

It’s best to find someone who is licensed as a Psychologist, MFT or MSW. Incase you aren’t sure what to ask, I’ve provided some intro questions to ask.

1) What are you credentials?

2) How many hours of training do you have? How long have you been seeing clients?

3)Where did you get trained and by whom?

4) Are you licensed?

Ask me anything

How can I have a better sex life?

How can I impress a woman?

How can I improve my dating life?

How can I get laid?

Should I get married?

Should I get divorced?

Should I transition?

Should I make up or break up?

What is ED Erectile Dysfunction?

What is it called when I have painful sex?

What is the secret to a happy sex life?

What is it called when I lose my erection?
